Pink Wednesday: China Glaze Rich & Famous with CND Effects

Hello! It’s Wednesday again and that means we wear pink!

For today’s mani I used China Glaze Rich & Famous, this is my go to pink, it’s bright and pretty without being a neon (which I don’t think look good on me), dries quick, and the formula is nice and smooth!
I did two coats here and could still see a bit of vnl, but it’s not too bad. And I added a coat of CND Effects Amethyst Sparkle

Sun:

(sorry about the cat hair on my middle finger, it’s everywhere!!)

Shade:

And a closer shot to see the sparkle:

I love the CND Effects, so pretty! 🙂

NOTD: Grape…Set…Match & Servin’ Up Sparkle

Yay, I finally found the OPI Serena Williams Grand Slam England, I’ve been wanting it since I started seeing pictures of it!

I did two coats of Grape…Set…Match. It’s so gorgeous!! It’s a reddish grape purple with tons of pink, purple and blue shimmer. I couldn’t stop looking at it and I took lots of pictures!

I took this one after four days of wear and there are no chips and only minimal tipwear, my right hand shows a bit more tipwear since I’m right-handed.

I added one coat of Servin’ Up Sparkle, I almost didn’t want to because I like Grape…Set…Match so much, but I wanted to see what it looked like with the holo glitter.

This is sooo sparkly!! I love this look as well, so I’m glad I got this set! 🙂

Zoya Rica

Hi, here’s a quick pic of Zoya Rica from their Sunshine collection. I got it a while ago, but I didn’t really like it much on me, here it is anyway:

This was two coats, I believe. I was hoping it would be more orange on me, but it’s mostly coral, I should’ve gotten Tanzy!

Pink Wednesday: Essie Super Bossa Nova with Haute Metal

Hello and happy Wednesday! For my pink nails today, I put on two coats of Essie Super Bossa Nova

It was really pigmented so I could have done one coat, but I always do two. I love this pink, it’s bright but not neon, and has lots of purple fuchsia shimmer!

Look at all the shimmer:

And then I added a coat of China Glaze Haute Metal:

I really like this week’s Pink Wednesday!! 🙂

China Glaze 108 Degrees and Silver Shatter

This is the last of the polishes I got from China Glaze Island Escape collection, and like the other two I love this one as well!

Lovely bright pink in that glass fleck shimmery finish that’s I love! This was 2-3 coats.

And a closer look

After a couple of days I added OPI Silver Shatter

I loved this combo, so sparkly and pretty!! 😀

Blue Iguana

China Glaze Blue Iguana from their recent Island Escape collection:

Blue Iguana is a sparkly, foily blue glass fleck with turquoise and purple-ish shimmer, although the purple is more noticeable in the bottle than in the nail. This was pretty sheer, so I did three coats and there is still some vnl. I love the color so I don’t really mind though.

My husband has gone camping until tomorrow night (or Sunday morning), so I’m home alone now and there is a storm going on, it’s supposed to go on until midnight. I hate thunderstorms! I think I’m going to swatch some polishes on my nail wheels and then go curl up with my kitty.

Pink Wednesday!

Today I’m doing my first Pink Wednesday mani.
I chose Essie Your Hut or Mine:

It’s a pink with a bit of coral and golden shimmer. Lovely! The formula was great and it applied in two coats.

And then just for fun I added some polka dots with Essie Absolutely Shore on my ring finger:

It was the first time I tried this so it’s less than perfect and my SV bubbled and smudged one dot :/
I still like it and think it’s a fun mani(although I may end up redoing that finger)! 🙂

Essie Coat Azure

I didn’t really plan any holiday manicures for the 4th of July, and I knew I wouldn’t have much time today, so I did my nails with Essie Coat Azure, which is blue, so it counts right?
Anyway, Happy 4th!

Essie Coat Azure

I think the picture is a little lighter than in person. I did two coats but one thick coat would probably be fine.

NOTD: Essie Braziliant

Hello, today I have another Essie from their summer collection, it’s the collection’s namesake, Braziliant.

It’s a bright orange (not neon) with pink shimmer, I don’t think the shimmer comes through in the picture, it’s more obvious in the bottle than in the nail. I did two coats, the formula was a little thick but not too bad.

Essie Smooth Sailing and why I love it so much…

I got Smooth Sailing and a few others a while ago at Rite Aid, when they were having their sale on Essies. I remember the cashier said, wow that must be good polish! (in a nice way) when I dumped the handful of polishes on the counter. And I said YES!! They are awesome! Ok, I didn’t say it like that but I was thinking it! I really love my Essies, they last forever on me and haven’t had any problems with any of them so far.

Anyway, this is Smooth Sailing, and it’s beautiful!!

See how pretty? With it’s lovely blue base color and the sparkly silver shimmer! So so pretty! I think it’s obvious that I’m in love with this color, it has quickly become one of my favorites, I think I’ll have to get a backup! 🙂
And I couldn’t choose a picture so there’s lots!

And a closer shot:

And even though I thought it couldn’t get any better, after a few days I added CND Sapphire Sparkle on top, and it turned into this!

(sorry about the tipwear, I’d been wearing this for a while!)

My pictures don’t really show how sparkly and beautiful this turned out, it flashed purple, blue and silver 😀

I loved this combination!

Anyway, I’m really glad I picked this one up and I enjoyed wearing it so much!
