Pink Wednesday: China Glaze Electra Magenta konad

I’m still without power at home, but at least the weather is great, very nice and sunny, and I can do my nails by the window with the sunlight. So, I have my Pink Wednesday ready for today! 😀

Haven’t done any stamping in a while, so I gave it try for this mani. I started with two coats of OPI Steady As She Rose and stamped a design from a Konad plate (I don’t have it with me to see the number), with China Glaze Electra Magenta.

I really like how this turned out, even though I missed a spot on my pinky, it’s a cute stamp! Happy Wednesday! 😀

NOTD: OPI DS Coronation w/Black konad

Hello! This is my mani for the day, the sun finally came out so I decided to try a holo.

I started to with three coats of OPI DS Coronation over a coat of Essie Matte About You. I had to do three coats because it was a little sheer and I could still see bald spots after two coats. But it’s so pretty and sparkly! I couldn’t stop looking at my nails in the sunlight!

I used Essie MAY as my base because I don’t have a holo base and I’d read matte top coats work well for holos. I don’t really know whether it worked or not. I had chips on 3 or 4 nails after a few hours. But, right after doing my nails I baked cupcakes and washed dishes which I never do, so I’m not sure if that had something to do with it and I didn’t let them dry for long enough.

Anyway, because I was going to konad over it, it didn’t bother me too much. I stamped a design on plate m64 with black polish.m

The holo was more obvious in person but maybe it wasn’t sunny enough for it to show up in pictures. I really liked how this turned out even though I didn’t realize until after that the stamp on my index finger was on the wrong side! 😀

Wet n Wild Blazed Konad

Hi, I got two Wet n Wild’s for on sale for .99 cents, this one and the one from the last post. I like this one more, probably because I love coral polishes!

Wet n Wild Blazed

And added a design from plate m69(I need to get some more plates!) with Konad pink polish

I like how this one turned out!

Wet n Wild Shine Eggplant Frost

I got a couple of nail polishes for my birthday from a girl at work, and I tried this one because, well I like purple! (The picture turned out too dark)

I applied a full nail design from plate m69 with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lovely Lilac. It was my first try at a full nail pattern, so I didn’t align it very good, and it didn’t cover the top part. I tried to do it again to fill the empty spots but again I didn’t align it well so the index and middle finger got a little messed up.

Sally Hansen Jumpin’ Jade Konad

I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Jumpin’ Jade, I really like all the insta-dri polishes I’ve used so far. I like the big brushes and they really dry pretty quickly! This is a nice dark shimmery green:

And then added a design from plate m75 in Konad pink special polish:

China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le with Konad

I didn’t really like how my nails turned out last time, and I got several chips so I tried a new mani.

I did two coats of China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le. I love this color, it’s really pretty!!
And then added the same flower design from plate m2 as before with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lively Lilac:

I got several compliments on this one, and I like it much more than the previous one even though I used the same stamp and a similar color scheme.

Taken outside after three days:

Sinful Colors Let Me Go

I got this nail polish at Walgreens the other day because I really liked how the color look in the bottle. I tried it yesterday and this is what it looks like:

Sinful Colors Let Me Go

It’s very sheer, it’s a purple-y shimmery pretty color but I used 3 coats and it’s still hard to see. It’s almost clear with only one coat. Also, the brush was stiff so it was hard to use, I don’t know I just got a bad bottle or if their brushes are like that.
I wanted to add a Konad design, I used the four flowers design in plate M2 (the only one I got so far!)

And for the stamp I used China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le.

It didn’t turned out how I wanted, I was hoping both colors would be a little darker. At least I got to practice the Konad application, which turned out good although the design is a little hard to see.

First Post!

Hello! I was looking through some wedding websites/blogs a couple of months ago, and I found links to some beauty and make up blogs. I clicked on them and as I was looking through the posts I found some pictures of manicures with designs made with Konad. I was interested so I looked into it, and that’s how I found there are so many nail polish blogs, I was amazed at all the information and all the knowledgeable and talented ladies out there. I’ll admit that besides picking a bottle of nail polish at my local drugstore every once in a while, I never thought much about my nails. I would paint my nails and they would chip after a day or two, so I wouldn’t bother with them anymore. But know that I see how great nails can look and how many options there, I’d like to experiment and try new stuff and make my nails look good. And that’s why I decided to start this blog!

I got a Konad kit a couple of weeks ago and this is my first Konadicure:

I apologize for the crappy picture, and mostly for my hands being all dry and rough. I had a lot of files on my desk at work, and I took the picture after a day of filing(which always includes rough skin and papercuts for me). And the cold weather didn’t help either.

Anyway, I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Petal Pusher for the base color with Konad M2. I was pleased with how it turned out for being the first time. M2 is the plate that came with my kit, so it’s the only one I have, but I just ordered another couple of plates. I can’t wait for them to get here so I can start playing with more designs!
