Cult Nails Hypnotic Collection Swatches

Hello! Today I have swatches of the Cult Nails Hypnotic collection. I’ve read good reviews of Cult Nails polishes so I ordered the whole collection during their preorder period. I’m so glad I did because I love all four of these!

In A Trance. Normally I don’t go for these olive/green/gold colors, but how could I not like this one? It’s beautiful, full of golden shimmer! This is two coats, and the formula was perfect on this.

Enigmatic. This one is full of shimmer too, but it was a little sheer. I did three coats on index and pinky, and two coats on middle and ring finger.
And a closer look at the shimmer:

Awakening. Dark teal creme, this was a little thin and sheer. I should have done three coats but the sun was almost gone and I wanted to get this done, so I did just two and you can still see my nails. Love the color though!

Hypnotize Me. This a very very sheer green full of blue and green glitter! This is the only one that was hard to apply because it was very thick. From index to pinky I did one coat, two coats, three coats and one coat over Awakening (sorry about that peelie/chip on my index nail, also my nails are still stained from OPI Swimsuit…Nailed It!). I wouldn’t wear this on it’s own, but I think is a gorgeous layering polish, I love the blue/green sparkle!

Overall I’m really happy I gave Cult Nails a try, I love all the colors in this collection and I’m already planning on getting some of their other polishes.

Zoya Breezi with Kleancolor Chunky Holo Teal

Hello! I hope everyone is having a good weekend. We finally got our power back Friday night, so we’ve been busy doing laundry, cleaning, and emptying our fridge. We had to throw out some ice cream and some other things, and the fridge smelled really bad after six days without power. Glad all that is over!

I love blues and teals and I wanted to use some of my untrieds, so I started this mani with two coats of Zoya Breezi from their Summertime collection.

It’s a pretty blue teal on it’s own but I wanted something more sparkly so I added one coat of Kleancolor Chunky Holo Teal

And in the shade:

I had to post several pictures because I couldn’t pick just one! I love how the glitter shifts colors to blue, green and orange. It looked really beautiful and the girl at the dentist’s office said she loved my nail polish! It’s always nice to get compliments on nails!

Pink Wednesday: China Glaze Electra Magenta konad

I’m still without power at home, but at least the weather is great, very nice and sunny, and I can do my nails by the window with the sunlight. So, I have my Pink Wednesday ready for today!

Haven’t done any stamping in a while, so I gave it try for this mani. I started with two coats of OPI Steady As She Rose and stamped a design from a Konad plate (I don’t have it with me to see the number), with China Glaze Electra Magenta.

I really like how this turned out, even though I missed a spot on my pinky, it’s a cute stamp! Happy Wednesday!

NOTD: OPI Swimsuit…Nailed It!

Hello! When I started seeing swatches of OPI Miss Universe I knew I had to get Swimsuit…Nailed It! It looked gorgeous in pictures and when I tried it, it did not disappoint!

This is so gorgeous!! I love blues, and add some foil-y, glass flecked shimmer, and I’m all over it!

And because I can’t seem to leave things alone, after a few days I added a coat of OPI Servin’ Up Sparkle

These pictures don’t really show all the different colors and sparkle on this, it’s so much prettier in person! I love Servin’ Up Sparkle so much, I want to layer it over everything! Maybe if I do I might get a color accurate picture

Edit to add: This stained a lot, I still have blue on my nails! Next time, I’ll double on the base coat, it is worth it though!

OPI Touring America swatches

I recently picked up three colors from OPI’s fall collection, these are the only three that seemed interesting to me.

Honk If You Love OPI. Dark vampy purple creme, it’s dark but it still looks purple not black. I did two coats.

Road House Blues. This the one I really wanted from this collection, but I love blues so it’s not surprising! Dark blue creme, again it’s dark but it still looks blue. Two coats.

Color To Diner For. I hadn't planned on getting this one, but it looked so pretty and shimmery that I had to! It's a red with lots of red/pink and gold shimmer, I ended up loving this one. This was two coats.

Formula was good on all three, but normally I don't have any problems with OPI. These are the only ones I'm getting from Touring America though, all the other ones seemed close to something I already have.

I still don't have power because of the hurricane (I'm at my parents house so I can use the internet, I'm having internet withdrawals!), and I hear it might not come back until the end of the week. I'm not going to work either, most of the town is without power. Not fun, but at least we have water and there was no major damage so I'm happy for that

Pink Wednesday: Pink Sponging

Today I just have a quick iPhone pic (also I’m posting this from my phone so I hope it works), because I’m not feeling too good and I’m exhausted, I didn’t sleep until 4:30am and woke at 6:30, I just got back from work so all I want to do is go to bed.

I wanted to try sponging with three different pinks in a gradient and this is how it came out:

I used Orly Lollipop for the base, then I sponged OPI Sparrow Me the Drama on top and sponged the tips with Essie Big Spender. It was fun but I need more practice!
Also, what is that black string on my ring finger? I didn’t see it until after I applied top coat so I’m sure it came from my SV brush! It really bothers me but it was too late to redo that nail. Silly SV!

Finger Paints Fall Fashionista Swatches

I want to start by saying that I don’t really like fall. I don’t like it because it means summer is over and winter is coming soon, and I hate winter! The cold and the snow are just very hard for me to deal with. It’s much warmer where I come from and there is no snow. Now, if I could just stay at home all winter by my fireplace with my kitty I wouldn’t mind, but of course I have to drive and driving in the snow really scares me. I’m always very nervous and anxious all winter.
Anyway, I still like all colors, so when I saw the new FP fall collection at Sally’s I grabbed the three I liked the most.

Cordur-Orange. I think this is the perfect fall orange! It’s not as bright as my picture makes it, it’s a little dusty but still very orange (if that makes sense). I did one coat for my index and pinky, and two coats for middle and ring finger. Formula was great, a little thick but it applied well, and even though I did two coats on two fingers to compare, this is easily a one coater.

Vintage Velvet. This is another one coater! It’s a dusty teal creme, and I love colors like this! I did two coats on index and middle, and one coat on ring and pinky. Once again, the formula was good.

Purple Pinstripe. This is dusty purple creme. This was a little sheer on me so I did two coats on all nails.

Like I’ve already mentioned the formula was really good on these, and the colors, even though they may not be terribly unique, are still pretty and very autumn-y. My favorite is Vintage Velvet!

Pink Wednesday: Fuchsia Shock Crackle!

For today’s Pink Wednesday I wanted to use my Sally Hansen Fuchsia Shock Crackle Overcoat. I did two coats of OPI Steady As She Rose and a coat of the crackle.

I did a thick coat and no top coat, I like my crackles without top coat
